The Visit: The encounter

The square where Pina (Sandra Milo) arrives with Adolfo (François Perier) is Piazza Teofilo Folengo, in San Benedetto Po in the province of Mantua. In the square there is the beautiful Abbey of San Benedetto in Polirone, a large complex of monastic buildings, including a church and cloisters.

Plot:
From a story by Carlo Cassola, the film is about the first date between Pina(Sandra Milo) and Adolfo, who met thanks to an advertisement published by her in a magazine. Directed by Antonio Pietrangeli, awarded at the Berlin Film Festival in 1963.
