The Vanquished: In the hospital

The hospital where Marina (Ferrero) tries to have Claudio (Interlenghi) visit, just before he leaves without explanation, is the Santo Spirito in Saxia Hospital in Rome. The Arcispedale is an ancient hospital in the Borgo district of Rome. Located near Vatican City, it is adjacent to the modern Santo Spirito Hospital, which continues its work and tradition. The entrance visible in the film is the one on Via di Porta Santo Spirito.

Plot:
Three stories of youth misery and criminality unite three different European contexts. In the French episode, a group of high school students organize a robbery against a wealthy friend. In the Italian episode, a young man from a wealthy family is involved in cigarette smuggling. In the English episode, a young man reports a murder to the police in order to appear in the newspapers.
