After her mother's death, Helen attempts to flee the village; however, she is caught up with the count who attacks her, throwing her off a cliff. The scene was always shot in the area adjacent to the Castello Massimo, framed first inside and later from the outside.

Plot:
It is the late 15th century, the witch hunt is on, and a woman is condemned to death because she is considered the murderer of the reigning duke. At the stake, amid excruciating suffering, she casts her curse on those who condemned her to death and on those in attendance who are excited about the execution.
