Plot:
Emilio Rutelli, a charming dentist with a few years on his shoulders, has for a wife Elisa, a pianist who has given up her career. They have a sixteen-year-old daughter, Eugenia, who adores the father while she hates, out of jealousy, her mother. The girl has a friend Nicole, reckless and helpful who, one day, pretending to be under the anesthesia, offers herself to Emilio, starting an affair that continues longer than expected. Eugenia plans to follow her companion's example, and when Elisa is hospitalized for a crisis, the situation takes an unexpected turn.
