Plot:
In Rome, Francesco and Marta, husband and wife, run together with Paolo, a longtime friend, a firm that does interior renovations. One day Francesco, having received news from the Turkish embassy that he has inherited a property from a certain Aunt Anita, leaves for Istanbul and here discovers that the property is a hamam, i.e., a Turkish bathhouse that his aunt ran for about thirty years. He comes into contact with Osman, the janitor of the bathhouse, and his family: his wife, daughter Fusun, and son Mehmet, who host him with great warmth.

The 1997 film directed by Ferzan Ozpetek, won the following year best Producer at the Silver Ribbons Awards.
