Vacation: The shell

The beach where Valerio (Folletto) finds a shell embedded in the rock that brings to mind Carla (Spaak) is the Mingardo beach in Palinuro, near Salerno. Palinuro is part of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park, an area of "shrubland" typical of Mediterranean countries.

Plot:
Valerio is a 30-year-old male with bipolar disorder. Her life changes when she meets Carla, an elderly woman who shows the first symptoms of Alzheimer’s disease. Carla is strong and determined not to let down by the disease, but to react with all her strength. Between the young man and the old woman a strong friendship bond will born, it will allow them to share pain and secrets, which they have kept hidden for a long time.
