In a panoramic street in the middle of the small town of Ronciglione, Paolo (Sordi) and Peppino ( Manfredi) stop to talk about marriage; Paolo wants to persuade Peppino to marry his sister with whom he has been engaged for four years. The panoramic street is Vicolo del Montone.

Plot:
