The school where Impallato teaches is immersed in a landscape that seems almost futuristic; the surrounding area is practically deserted, with high-rise buildings on the horizon. In reality, we're still in the Tuscolano neighborhood of Rome, now completely overgrown with concrete, in Piazza dei Decemviri.

PLOT
A schoolmaster discovers a powerful baritone voice in one of his young pupils. So he tries to cast him, introduces him to impresarios, makes him sing Rigoletto at La Scala. In reality, the boy's tonsils are swollen beyond normal. An operation will remove his big voice and the careerist teacher any managerial ambitions.
