Il ponte dei sospiri: The Doge's mask

The prison bridge where the Doge Candiano (Murat) is taken, is condemned to be blinded. Rolando Candiano (Halsey) and Scalabrino (Nelson) throw themselves from a window (in the frame you can see the water raised by the dive), in the final act of their escape and the Bridge of Sighs, in Venice.

PLOT
Jealous of his success and fame, the enemies of a Venetian captain manage to accuse him of murder. After being sentenced to death, the man flees but returns to the city to find the conspirators and save his honour.
