Anima persa: Stolz's house

The home of the Stolz family, where Fabio (Gassman) and Elisa (Deneuve) live, and where their nephew Tino (Mattei) will move when he comes there to attend a painting school, is the historic Palazzo Fortuny, in Campo San Beneto in Venice. Here we see the boy getting out of the taxi which makes him dismount in Rio di San Luca, near his uncle's house.

The nineteen-year-old Tino, an aspiring painter, is a guest in Venice of his uncle Fabio Stolz, a haughty engineer at the gas company, proud of his Habsburg origin, and of his wife Elisa, completely submissive to her husband. One evening, coming from the attic of the ancient building where they live, Tino hears unexplained noises.
