Champagne in paradiso: Walking around Rome
When Albano walks the dogs he shows a walk through some of Rome's most iconic sights, starting at the Imperial Forum and ending at the Mouth of Truth. Here is a summary of the main attractions that are shown during this sequence.
Imperial Fori - Albano begins his walk with the dogs in one of Rome's most historic settings, the Imperial Fora, a series of monumental plazas built between 46 BC and 113 AD. These ruins represent the heart of ancient Rome and are surrounded by temples, basilicas and other public buildings.
Colosseum - During the walk, you can see the Colosseum, the famous Roman amphitheater that is one of the most recognized symbols of the city and all of Italy. Although it is not the focal point of the scene, it appears in the background as Albano walks by.
Circus Maximus - This ancient stadium, famous for chariot races, is one of the places Albano travels through. It is a vast green space that stretches between the Aventine and the Palatine, another area reminiscent of the city's glorious past.
Mouth of Truth - The walk ends at the Mouth of Truth, one of Rome's most curious attractions. This marble sculpture depicts a male face and is located in the portico of the church of Santa Maria in Cosmedin. Legend has it that the Mouth will bite the hand of anyone who does not tell the truth.
