Totò e Marcellino: A special gift

The Lungotevere where the "Professor" (Totò) finds Marcellino (Calvo) and gives him his trumpet in the film is the Lungotevere Oberdan in Rome, exactly on the opposite side of the river to the one where the neighborhood Flaminio is located.

PLOT:

A thief, known by the nickname of The Professor, escapes from the police by pretending to be the uncle of a young orphan only eight years old. A friendship develops between the two and they decide to live together in a disused tram.
