Totò e Marcellino: A cry for help

The church where Marcellinus (Calvo) goes to find a priest to run to the bedside of his dying mother has a dual nature.
Externally it is the church of Saints Marcellinus and Peter at the Lateran, located on Rome's Via Merulana.
Once inside, Marcellin finds himself in the beautiful sacristy of the church of Santa Maria in Vallicella, located in Rome's Piazza della Chiesa Nuova and also seen in The Comrade Don Camillo (1965).

PLOT:

A thief, known by the nickname of The Professor, escapes from the police by pretending to be the uncle of a young orphan only eight years old. A friendship develops between the two and they decide to live together in a disused tram.
