Il Marchese Del Grillo: The Pope

The Quirinale Palace in which the Pope lives, and will be arrested, is Palazzo dei Conservatori in Piazza del Campidoglio in Rome, location of the Musei Capitolini. The bells of the city ring in order to announce the Pope’s death, one of the Marquis’ tricks. We see the inside of the Pope’s palace, while at the end of the movie we see the Pope’s procession .

Plot:
Directed by Mario Monicelli and starring Alberto Sordi. This comedy depicts episodes in the life of a nobleman in Rome who always invents stories and crack all types of jokes.
