L'ammazzatina: The escape
Baron Mimì Galluzzo's (Pino Caruso) villa is the villa at Casal Lumbroso in Rome. The villa of Casale Lumbroso 167 is THE villa, or rather the villa that, at least as far as the last 20 years are concerned, holds the record for the number of films: it pops up practically everywhere! We are talking about a villa capable of surpassing in number of films even that of Olgiata, and without having the charm. The body of the building is much less finished than the villa near the Olgiata golf courses, and has undergone several changes over the years, so that today it is a large villa surrounded by cars in which the charm of the garden with the rocks that we were so used to seeing in the cinema has lost much of its charm. The pool is still there, the rocks too, but the rest.... Maybe it is the yellowish colour of the plaster, maybe it is the demolition of that portico with circular windows that graced the entrance façade in the 1980s, maybe it is the current prosaic nature of the whole (not even the portico of the internal façade exists any more), but the glance is completely different.
