Zappatore: Engagement party

The hotel where Francesco Esposito (Merola) makes a surprise appearance at his son's engagement party and takes him back to Naples singing 'Zappatore' has a dual nature. The exteriors are, as we are told in the film, the Waldorf Astoria at 301 Park Ave, New York, USA. The interiors, on the other hand, as Renato tells us, are at the usual Hilton Cavalieri in Rome at Via Cadlolo 101! The ballroom is what is now called the 'Elisse room'.

Plot:
With great sacrifice, a farmer manages to get his son a law degree. The boy, however, lacking in gratitude, abandons his parents to pursue love in America.
