Plot:
Ada lives with her young son Mario, while her husband, Aldo, works in Kenya. One day, due to a trivial accident, Ada loses her life. Back from Africa Aldo notices that little Mario treats him with mistrust: the boy spends his days in the street and does not want to go to school. Aldo will have to win back his son's love. "La finestra sul Luna Park" tackled the problem of emigration on a new level, introducing the theme of the destruction of the family. Italian society is culturally and religiously founded on family values, but the family is continually harmed by working conditions that force it to break up, with dramatic consequences especially for children. La finestra sul Luna Park is a film that I loved very much and that was unfortunate because it was produced under disastrous conditions by a company that went bankrupt soon afterwards' (Comencini).
