Champagne in heaven: Paola riding her motorbike
In the opening scene of the film, Paola (Romina Power) travels through Rome on her motorbike to reach school; on the way we see the wonderful views of Rome including Castel Sant'Angelo, the Lungotevere, and finally the facade of the Liceo Scientifico Kennedy in via Nicola Fabrizi in Rome, the school where Marco (Al Bano) begins work as an alternate.

Plot:
Two grandfathers of three sweet little boys, recount in fairy-tale tones their first meeting many and many years before, their romantic falling in love in rather out-of-the-ordinary circumstances and their marriage. Those were the days of good feelings and sincere friendships. He, a young professor of literature, unemployed and looking for work, had fallen victim to heavy-handed and somewhat cruel jokes by a girls' school group (in which he had been placed as a substitute teacher), jokes organised by a certain Paola, who was nice but excessively lively and enterprising. Dismissed for 'teaching incapacity' by him and removed from the school by his father, a rich industrialist, for total inadequacy and bad discipline by her, as chance would have it, they find themselves, at Paola's behest, in her country house, where one will be private tutor to the other. Their mutual liking develops more and more and will lead the two to tie the knot. In the finale we see the two old men athletically embraced in a romantic dance.
